Trailing 3-month price trend · as of September 2026Uptrend

Gold’s September 2026 average price ($4,335) is 1.4% above its 3-month average ($4,276).

This describes gold’s current price trend only; it is not a track record or a prediction of what happens next. This compares gold’s latest monthly average price with its average over the previous 3 months. More than 1% above reads as an uptrend, more than 1% below as a downtrend, anything in between as sideways. Real yields, the dollar and inflation expectations are shown below as context and are not mixed into this measure. Monthly prices from the IMF Primary Commodity Prices database. Swiss customs data is free for non-commercial use with attribution, but the open-data catalog refused automated requests (HTTP 403), so it is not connected. UN Comtrade redistribution also needs permission. The connected UK feed covers UK trading partners only.

Percentile flags compare the latest absolute change with preceding comparable changes. A minimum of 52 weekly or 24 monthly changes is required; a top-decile nonzero move is highlighted. The current move is excluded from its own baseline. Gaps are never treated as weekly or monthly changes.

Gold prices and charts are displayed by TradingView for viewing only; they do not feed any figure on this page. Real yields and inflation expectations come from U.S. Treasury yield curves and the dollar index from the Federal Reserve H.10 release (both public domain). Central-bank reserves and the monthly gold prices behind the sentiment come from the International Monetary Fund (free reuse with attribution; commercial reuse needs IMF permission).

MANAGER DISCLOSURES

Who reported holding gold funds?

Look up one manager’s GLD and IAU holdings in its SEC 13F reports. Gold funds, put options and call options remain separate.

Enter a manager to load its report. This is an individual filing lookup, not a ranking of the world’s largest gold holders.

13F reports are generally due 45 days after quarter-end. These delayed snapshots do not show current trades.

Coverage and security matching

Only the verified GLD CUSIP 78463V107 and IAU CUSIP 464285204 are included. Similar fund names, miners and other gold products are not assigned by guesswork. Share, put and call lines remain distinct, including separate security classes and manager entries. A 13F position is reported gold-fund exposure, not a holding of physical gold bars.
