The scale runs from 0 to 100, from extreme fear to extreme greed. Classifications describe sentiment; they are not a forecast or a recommendation to buy or sell.

The documented Fear & Greed public feed supplies the index history and seven current indicator scores. We check the source daily when the page is visited. Observation dates and retrieval times stay visible. Updates can be delayed; saved readings keep their original dates.

Display bands: below 25 extreme fear; 25–below 45 fear; 45–55 neutral; above 55–75 greed; above 75 extreme greed. Indicator classifications come from the provider. Historical comparisons use the latest supplied observation on or before the target calendar date, at most four days earlier. Missing observations stay unavailable.
